Listen to Eat It - 9 August 201553:379 August 2015

It's freezing in Melbourne so we thought it would be an opportune time to check in with Nick Holloway, chef at Palm Cove's NuNu restaurant. As well as reminding us what warm weather feels like, we spoke about the different seasonal ingredients in that part of the world (winter tomatoes!), his discoveries during eleven years as a northerner, and the upcoming Taste Port Douglas festival.

We caught up with John at the Queen Victoria Market.

We finished the show chatting to Daniel Wilson from both Huxtable restaurant and the slowly growing Huxtaburger stores. He's just authored a new book about making the perfect burger, and we chatted in depth about how to turn your burgers from OK to awesome.

About this program

Food for thought: recipes, hints and tips, interviews and a market report.

It's one of those constants in this fair city; every Sunday at midday tune into the best radio station on earth for Eat It, Triple R's resident food show. No-one really knows quite how many years the show has been on-air, but it's been going long enough for us all to lose track. Each week Cam Smith and Matt Steadman take an hour to discuss every aspect of food and drink, including regular market reports, interviews with chefs and restaurateurs, chats with industry and lobby groups, emptying bottles with wine-makers and writers, answering listeners' questions, the occasional on-air cooking segment, and anything else we deem fit. Sometimes we'll even squeeze in a song or two.
