South African-born Australian musician Ruby Gill joins Dylan Bird on Future Perfect to chat about their music and the stories behind each song.

Ruby, and her partner Erin, drove around the country of Australia last year for her tour and to seek inspiration for her third album, Fishing is not about fishing which is out in October.

She talks about how big a role community radio stations play in the lives of those in rural Australia.

"The reason we drove around Australia is because I don't know where I live. I've lived here for a decade and I know the borders Melbourne and a few random cities... I want to know what the people are like and what each small town feels like, I want to meet people and it was succesful. There was a community and a landscape I could really get my teeth into."
