On this special edition of Where Yo Is, Bruce Milne is joined in the studio by Mike LaVella, the publisher and editor of Gearhead Magazine, and Dave Ross, the drummer in hardcore punk bands of the '80s, including Mad Flowers and Civil Dissident.

Established in the '90s in San Francisco, Gearhead Magazine sat at the crossroads of celebrating garage and grunge music, as well as custom car culture.

The trio (with a little bonus cameo from Tim Scott of Teenage Hate!) engage in a free-wheeling conversation that covers everything from the origins of Gearhead Magazine, the significance of the zine Maximumrocknroll, as well as their many connections and associations with each other.
