Hailing from the South Coast of New South Wales, folk musician Ali Mollica joins Tim on Teenage Hate to discuss her solo project Field Commander Ali and her latest record The Next From Field Commander released under music labels Brierfield Flood Press and World Of Echo.

Ali discusses the sense of serenity and community she has found creating this latest record in Stanwell Park, a coastal village in Wollongong, and how the lush bushland and beach has shaped her song writing in this newest record.

“The environment both in terms of nature and in terms of people is so amazing and conducive to song writing. [There’s] such an amazing music community down here... It’s quite a laid back vibe and I think that means that people are just writing and releasing records left, right, and centre… without fear of non-success.”
