Writer, radio and television presenter, producer, screenwriter and actress Marieke Hardy joins Richard on SmartArts to discuss her new original play with the Melbourne Theatre Company, Losing Face.

Marieke gives Richard an insight into the play which explores themes of beauty, anti-aging, friendship and death. The story follows the lead character Jo and her friends as they are invited to a new wellness resort to celebrate Jo’s 50th birthday. However, it soon becomes clear that the relaxing spas and cosmetic beauty procedures are not what they seem to be. Marieke describes the play as a “perimenopausal Weekend At Bernie’s.”

Losing Face is showing from 22 June - 25 July at the Southbank Theatre.
