Neon Sunset: Life of a Bassist with Dead Moon's Toody Cole

Dead Moon and Pierced Arrows' Toody Cole - the "ultimate D.I.Y Rock and Roll bass mama" - joined Clara Slewa on the phone ahead of her solo Australian tour.

The pair discussed all things Joan Baez, turning down Nirvana and why Dead Moon prioritised a raw, spontaenous energy over consistent rehearsal.

Toody also speaks on Fred Cole, her husband of 50 years and Dead Moon's front-man, and how she carries their legacy forward 8 years on from his passing.

Toody's scheduled to play at The Tote on November 21st, as well as Castlemaine and Balnurring on the November 22nd and 23rd respectively.
