Willgoose Esq. to chat about what draws them to playing in Australia, the evolution of their sampling of archival material, their exploration the story of Amelia Earheart as the subject of their 2024 album The Last Flight, and how their live shows are informed by the venues they perform in.

“Moving on from using samples in quite a kitsch and superficial way originally, to using them to build something with more emotional heft and narrative … and then just abandoning them entirely and doing a record in German … we don’t stop trying to see how far we can push it.”
