Dylan Bird is joined by Thomas Walker, economist, geographer and CEO of policy think tank Think Forward. to draw the link between the cost of living crisis and declining mental health for young people, and the tax and economic reforms that might lead to better outcomes.

Thinking Forward are hosting a youth mental health and taxation policy conversation on April 30.

“One full time job – let alone two – is not enough to buy a home, it’s really hard to start a family, we’ve got these massive HECS debts that take decades to pay off. This idea that work is enough to provide a secure life is unravelling and it’s leading to some really perverse outcomes.”
