Dylan Bird sits down with Alex Macfarlane to chat about his latest album Gleams & Louring, his nocturnal music-making habits, his approach to writing across different projects and genres, the art of the song title, and the 10th anniversary of his label Hobbies Galore.

“Ever since school I was always recording several projects at the same time – it was always some silly home recorded solo stuff, and then doing a one-man grindcore band, and then playing punk bands with friends … there’s little separation between it in my head, but it does keep all of those [genres] somewhat in their own lanes.”
