Group Leader for Microbial Food Systems at CSIRO, Dr Rozita Vaskoska, joins Dr Shane in studio for an enlightening chat on Australia's fragmented food safety industry. Vaskoska talks about Australia's lack of a centralised food safety body, neither in research nor government agency, and the risks this poses to Australia. She introduces the Food Safety Research Alliance, a collaborative group between researchers and industry aiming to fill these gaps in Australian food regulation, and gives some practical tips on food safety at home.
