Cory Doctorow, the writer who gave us Macquarie Dictionary’s 2024 word of the year “enshittification”, joins Byte Into IT to talk about his new book The Reverse Centaur’s Guide to Life after AI: How to Think About Artificial Intelligence Before It's Too Late.

In this far-ranging interview, Cory discusses the risks and social impacts of buying into the hype around new AI technologies, the fate of the current AI tech bubble, and the danger it poses to 'reverse-centaurs': workers, like warehouse pickers and software coders, who are tasked with serving machines rather than having the machines serve them.
