Presents Byte Into IT
Local insights on tech news, with feature interviews and regular guests.
How and when did you first connect with Triple R?
I first connected with 3RRR when I was asked to be interviewed for the Byte into IT program in 2025 for my PhD thesis – they liked me so much they invited me back to be a volunteer host for the program!
What does Triple R mean to you?
Triple R means community. Everyone that I have met here and heard on the airwaves has been so lovely – the studio has so much love and character poured into it, every corner has a story to tell about all the people who have been through here.
What's your favourite Triple R story?
Not one involving me, but when I brought up that I was talking on Triple R a friend of mine mentioned that his Dad had volunteered his time to help do the electrical work for the studios. All these stories of how people have chipped into building this place in their own way is heartwarming to hear about.
Describe your happy place
There is nowhere I love more than getting lost in the stacks of books at libraries, finding a small quiet corner of the world surrounded by pages and pages of interesting things to read and learn.
The studio door has accidentally jammed shut with you stuck inside. If there was only one album in there with you, what would you want it to be, and why?
I’ve returned to Bloc Party’s Silent Alarm time and time again since I first encountered it during high school. When I was young I was drawn in by the flashy drum beats and whining guitars but as I get older I find myself drawn to Kele Okereke’s lyrics and the melancholy of young adulthood.
