Breakfasters: Brigid Gallacher, Assistant Director of Plays 'Escaped Alone' & 'What If Only' by Caryl Churchill

Brigid Gallacher joins the Breakfasters to talk about a world-first pairing of two separate plays by Caryl Churchill, considered one of the world's greatest living playwrights, whose work - Brigid tells us - explores 'the epic in the domestic'.

As Assistant Director, Brigid tells us about Escaped Alone, a play about afternoon tea and the apocalypse, and What If Only, a micro-meditation on grief and possibility. Both plays are directed by Anne-Louise Sarks, Artistic Director of the Melbourne Theatre Company, and is playing at Southbank Theatre, The Sumner, from 7 August - 9 September 2023.
