Breakfasters: Hannah Gadsby Returns With The Evening Muse
Comedian Hannah Gadsby joins the Breakfasters alongside Abby Wambaugh to talk about The Evening Muse, their new live show for Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Much like a talk show, the project brings together a rotating lineup of comedians and performers, with Abby Wambaugh stepping in as Gadsby's quick-witted sidekick.
Hannah reflects on two decades in comedy; from their breakout special Nanette to global touring and multiple Netflix specials. They talk candidly about the challenge of gathering material when their natural instinct is to avoid socialising, and how The Evening Muse flips that by bringing people to Gadsby instead.
With Abby’s big-room energy balancing Hannah’s deadpan instincts, the pair discuss collaboration, nostalgia, and the strange perspective that comes with marking twenty years since Gadsby first won RAW Comedy at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
