Discoveries of molars of Lumakoala blackae at the Pwerte Marnte Marnte fossil site in Australia’s Northern Territory between 2014-2020, fills a gap in Australian marsupial history during a period that we don't know much about: the late Oligocene also known as a “kind of the koala heyday.”
