Belgian sound artist Peter Lenaerts (now Sydney-based) "works to reveal everything that hides beneath silence and the seeming absence of sound, or beyond emptiness". He talks to Bec about field recordings of emptiness and the spaces between sounds, the pursuit of quietness in the documentary film Quies (co-created with Ezra Eeman) and sending listeners to sleep through the performance work MicroSleepDub.

Listen here for the interview, some of Peter's sounds of the outback and his new work, Non-Place.
