Radio Marinara

Daylight savings goes this weekend finding Anth & Rex Hunter in the studio with their hour back and ready to explore our marine and coastal wonders.

First up newsy flotsam and jetsam - all the little stories and updates from Anth and Rex that don't make a full story for the show but are important to know.

Then the entire second half of the show is about the art, craft, engineering and history of wooden boats in Port Phillip Bay. To discuss them we have 2 special guests. Greg Blunt from Blunt Boats in Williamstown whose family have been making wooden boats there for over 100 years, and Maddie Jackway, a singer and song-writer from the Bellarine who wrote a song about making Blunt wooden boats following being commissioned to write music about the old industries of Melbourne's west. Maddie will perform her song "Sheer Lines" live in the studio. Join us to be immersed in wooden boats!

All the music today will be from the Port Fairy Folk Festival.
