Radio Marinara

Kade and Anth will be appropriately socially distant on Sunday and swimming for you to deliver Marinara pretty much online!

In our Coastal Adaptations segment, we will revisit the Mallacoota post-fire recovery with local marine ecologist Jann Gilbert who has an update about the local water quality and marine and estuarine environment since the devastating fires over summer.

Will we have local seafood available this easter? Johnathon Davey, Executive Director of Seafood Industry Victoria will catch up with us to discuss the impact of coronavirus on the industry and fill us in on what we will be able to put on our plates over the upcoming easter holiday/homestay.

And finally, what can coral do to survive a warmer sea. Well, there are researchers actually studying the different genetic variations in coral species and finding ones that can survive in warmer waters. Dr Wing Chan from the University of Melbourne joins us to talk about they are finding, and the idea that they'd would rather be out of a job by us changing emissions instead.

Some weather, some marine and coastal banter and lots lots more...
