Listen to Radio Marinara - 31 July 201644:1731 July 2016

Dr Richard Reina from Monash University talks about the sea turtles of Costa Rica, and how the problem of poaching has been turned around to the point where the former poachers have become the turtles' protectors and guardians. Then Oliver Edwards from Good Fish Bad Fish speaks with us about social licence in fisheries, and the growing need to demonstrate the many layers of value in supporting local business. Dr Alecia Bellgrove from Deakin University has just returned from taking a group of her students to Japan - she talks about marine science in Japanese Universities, and some big changes on the horizon for marine research at Deakin University.
