Say Hello to the Artists Performing During our International Women’s Day Live to Air Extravaganza This Friday

4 March 2019

It’s official – we’re pants-wettingly excited for this Friday. Not only do we have women and gender non-conforming broadcasters (plus their guests) taking over the Triple R airwaves all day for International Women’s Day – we’ve also got an absolutely ripper lineup of women and gender non-conforming musical artists who’ll be tearing down the house (not literally, we hope – we do actually need the station’s roof) live during Dropout Boogie.

From 7pm to 10pm, we’ll be treating our eyeballs and earholes to live performances from darkwave industrial specialist V, newly rising post-punk trio Moody Beaches, legendary local songwriter and soundtrack composer Evelyn Ida Morris (aka Pikelet), and radical rapper based on Wurundjeri country Racerage.

Subscribers: want to join the party? Well, aren’t you in luck – if you get your skates on and send us email at iwd@rrr.org.au with your full name and subscriber number in the subject line by 5pm Tuesday, you just might get your name plus one on the door! Oh, and did we mention the bar will be up and running? The bar will be up and running.

That’s this Friday, 7pm to 10pm. And if you can’t join us, crank up your stereo wherever you are and boogie to your heart’s content. Happy, IWD!
