BLACKPRINT is the long-awaited debut mixtape from Naarm/Melbourne-via-lutruwita/Tasmania artist Miss Kaninna, out now on Soul Has No Tempo / AWAL Recordings.

The mixtape showcases her genre-defying approach to hip hop, seamlessly blending influences across soul, R&B, rock and grunge.

Producing the mixtape herself, Miss Kaninna proudly imprints her singular artistic vision across BLACKPRINT, choosing the right moments to utilise her cast of collaborators in Lucy Blombamp, Nikodimos, Kobie Dee and Jamahl Yami.

Speaking on the title, Miss Kaninna states "we know we’re the key to the start of civilisation, we're literally the blueprint and we don't care if white people agree or not, we aren't gonna wait for you".

The end result is a fitting statement for her debut mixtape, unapologetically skewering colonisation, white supremacy and the country's status quo, all while delivering a potent set of songs.
