Justine Costigan (filling in for Amy) chats with poet, linguest, translator and technology writer Judith Bishop. She discusses her latest piece for the the ABR, an essay titled A.I Will kill/save us: Hype and harm in the new economic order which looks at two major new American releases focused on AI -Empire of AI by Karen Hao and The AI Con by Emily M. Bender and Alex Hanna.
Bishop shares insights into the releases and her own opinions and concerns surrounding the concept of AI, dives deeper into the workings of the companies making these technolgies possible and shares the importance of being aware of the background of AI.
