Shiralee Hood is a Noongar, Kurnai, Gunditjmara Comedian, Broadcaster, Educator, and longtime contributor to community radio station 3CR's Beyond The Bars project. Since 2002, Beyond The Bars has examined First Nations peoples overrepresentation within Australia's prison systems, by broadcasting live from Victorian prisons each NAIDOC week , giving Indigenous prisoners a voice and allowing their stories to be heard. Shiralee discusses her journey into the program, her experiences uncovering these stories and Beyond The Bars importance within the community.
