The Golden Age Of Piracy: Shayne Carter of the Straitjacket Fits selects his Formative Five
Aotearoa legend Shayne Carter joins Tristen Harris on The Golden Age of Piracy to share his Formative Five, and to discuss how they have personally influenced his life and work.
Born out of the revered "Dunedin Sound", Carter started playing music in high school in bands like Bored Games and alongside his peers such as Chris Knox and The Clean found a home with Flying Nun records with his project Straitjacket Fits, and later, Dimmer.
His tireless creative drive has since been charted in a new documentary - Life in One Chord, and has recently visited our shores for a solo series of shows.
