Off The Record: Angie Hart’s Getting Personal
Beloved local muso Angie Hart and her guitarist/collaborator Kate Lucas (Coda Chroma) join Brian Wise in the studio for a chat and a song or two.
They dig into the themes of Angie’s forthcoming album due out later in the year - a deeply reflective, personal release that began to take shape during the Covid-19 lockdowns and is fifteen years in the making.
“The songs were brewing over a decade… [there’s] a lot of grief on there, it’s a bit of a deep dive into the things I went through that I didn’t really want to write about but couldn’t avoid. It’s a ‘get it all off my chest and write-a more positive album next time’ kinda thing.”
Angie Hart plays Gasworks Arts Park on Jan 25.
