Summer presenter Jess Ribeiro kicks off Mix Tape with Dylan Young of Way Dynamic, diving into his songwriting process and spinning unreleased demos from the project. Way Dynamic is Dylan’s solo outlet, with Massive Shoe marking the third album under the name.

The pair revisit past memories - including line dancing together at a hippie folk festival - while Dylan reflects on having a song played by Elton John, feeling both proud and quietly insecure. Dylan speaks on writing more plainly and literally, embracing vulnerability and absurdity, and why he often disconnects from his songs once they’re finished.
