Maps: Pauly P, 30 Years In

Fee B-Squared welcomes Pauly P on to Maps to celebrate his 30th year at Triple R. Alongside Tony Wilson, it's an afternoon of affectionate chaos and station lore. The trio look back on Pauly's three decades of volunteering and broadcasting, from his first show Best of the Brat to the loose and sharp quick-wit he’s retained ever since.

They ramble through old stories, strange memories, and the particular magic of Triple R’s world: “Thirty years later, The Ramones are still The Ramones, but the audience is completely different.” Bouncing between the absurd and the affectionate, Pauly reflects on turning up week after week for the love of the game, and on treating radio as something alive rather than fixed.

Thirty years in, Pauly P isn’t especially interested in the sentimental. He’s just showing up, finding the funny side, and making sure no two shows are ever the same.
