Literati Glitterati: Chris Kraus On New Novel 'The Four Spent The Day Together'
Mel Fulton is joined by critically acclaimed American author and cultural critic Chris Kraus, author of titles such as I Love Dick, Aliens and Anorexia, and Torpor. Kraus speaks to Mel about her version of the true crime novel in her ninth book, The Four Spent the Day Together.
In her latest autofiction novel, Chris Kraus delves into the drug-fuelled shooting murder of three teenagers on the Iron Range of northern Minnesota. The book centres on protagonist Catt Greene, whose neighbourly interest in the crime turns into an obsession.
"It hit me very forcefully that this is something that needed to be written about and I couldn't imagine who else would do it if I didn't."
