Indigenuity: The Torch Supports Incarcerated First Nations Artists

This week on Indigenuity, Krystal De Napoli speaks with artists Daniel Laird and Teagan about Future Dreaming, an annual exhibition currently showing at The Torch Gallery in Carlton.

Future Dreaming is unique in that it features 235 artworks created by First Nations artists incarcerated in 2025. This is not only a creative process for the artists involved, but the money raised through sales directly supports those incarcerated artists. Krystal asks Daniel and Teagan about how they became involved with The Torch, the different forms their art takes and how artists benefit from participation after their release as well.

Entry to Future Dreaming is free and the exhibition is showing from 24 October to 22 November 2025.
