Alcides Neto joins Chris Gill on Get Down with to launch his new single Amuleto. The track is the first taste of Alcides’ debut album Amu, and showcases his percussive guitar style and deep roots in Afro-Brazilian rhythms and samba.

Alcides unpacks Amuleto as a two-part tack - beginning with personal lyrics centred on resilience and faith, before opening into a fast-paced, full-band groove that culminates in a soaring sax solo.

Alongside his work as a musician, Alcides shares insights from his role as a sound engineer at 3RRR, reflecting on his love of live music in all forms and the joy of mixing for Live at RRR.

Amu releases on the 27th of February, via Music in Exile.
