The inner-Melbourne seat of Wills has been named as one to watch on election night. Long known as a Labor stronghold, the party’s grip on the seat has been slipping in recent elections with competition from the Greens.

Dylan Bird is joined by Samantha Ratnam, Greens candidate for Wills in the upcoming federal election, to chat about her beginnings in politics and her background in social work, the urgency to fight for climate action, Australia’s responsibility in impacting the situation in Gaza, and what the Greens would do to support the arts and music sector.

“It’s more urgent than ever that we have more Greens in that parliament to fight for our climate and our environment … because of what we’ve seen over the last few months in terms of how much Labor doesn’t care about the environment.”
