Future Perfect: Sam Petersen's Post-Apocalyptic Wheelchair User
Sam Petersen is a queer, high support needs power wheelchair user who communicates using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). Sam is a visual artist, writer and performer, and is currently working on a short film called Human.
In this interview, Sam tells fill-in host Kirby about the "apocalyptic wheelchair" sculpture and photoshoot that was a proof of concept for Human. Sam and Kirby also chat about the upcoming fundraiser event on February 28th at Balam Balam Place in Brunswick, with performances by June Jones, Skink Tank, Sienna Thornton, Aquenta (DJ), and Themme Fatale as guest MC.
