They also consider Howard's legacy in light of Australia's current political landscape, following One Nation’s recent win in the Farrer by-election.

“If there’s one lesson that we should take from John Howard, it’s that he knew how to use power, and he knew how to do it to create a vision for the country that he felt was best. I would argue that it was not best; that it has ended up where we are now with generation inequality and tears in the social fabric that are getting bigger and bigger everyday.”
