Byte Into IT: Dr Phoebe Matich Invites You To Share Your Thoughts On AI Voice Generation

Dr Phoebe Matich joins Byte into IT to unpack her ongoing research survey on how everyday Australians feel about AI voice generation in media. From audiobooks, podcasts to social media posts, generative AI voices are playing an increasing role in media production and journalism, with sophisticated AI technology able to synthesise, clone and modify the human voice. Dr Phoebe Matich unpacks how generative AI technologies challenge our trust in the media we consume daily.

The ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society with Dr Phoebe Matich are conducting the survey to discover what the general population thinks of generative AI voices which will help to form their future research examining how generative AI is reshaping media production, audience trust and online authenticity.
