Breaking and Entering: Harvey Sutherland talks about upcoming album Debt and performs an exclusive DJ mix

Melbourne producer and synth specialist Harvey Sutherland joins Lauren and Simon on Breaking and Entering to discuss his new album Debt and play an exclusive live DJ mix, including some unreleased tracks. Harvey Sutherland talks about his recent European tour which included a first visit to Ibiza. He also shares about his time at Paris's legendary Motorbass studios, connected with Philippe Zdar of Cassius.

Harvey Sutherland's forthcoming third album explores the financial and emotional realities of sustaining a creative practice in the digital age. The new songs balance microhouse and funk influences, offering "club records for the lounge room, lounge records for the club."

The conversation touches on his collaborative approach, including work with Julian Hamilton of The Presets and vocalist Vicky Farewell, and his ongoing dub remix series of pop tracks from artists such as Clairo.

Debt is out 10th October via Harvey Sutherland's own label Clarity Recordings. In the meantime he's playing live in the Triple R Performance Space on Friday 3rd October at 7pm, hosted by Dan Dare of How High The Moon. There's also a new live A/V show with Kuzco on Friday, 14th November at The Night Cat.
