Kaytetye writer, director and cinematographer Warwick Thornton joined Vanessa Morris on Banksia to talk about new film Wolfram.
Wolfram is a a taut frontier western where Aboriginal child labourers in the wolfram (tungsten) mines confront colonial brutality and injustice - it was inspired by the family stories of Thornton and writer David Tranter and set against the backdrop of the 1930s colonial frontier.
As a sequel to film Sweet Country Warwick spoke about how Wolfram provided redemption to the story first shared in 2017.
