Wergaia and Wemba Wemba writer Susie Anderson joins Vanessa Morris on Banksia to discuss new book The Body Country which is a collection of poems spanning rural and urban settings, from the personal to the universal, always bringing us back to the Country that connects us all - the book which was the outcome of their 2021 Black&Write! fellowship.

During the conversation Susie spoke about the importance of incorporating Wergaia language words into their writing and also did readings of the poems blacktown, warrane and merri.

Susie is performing at the Wheeler Centre's Victorian Poetry Month Gala 2023 on 17 August.
