Gurindji, Pertame Arrernte & Worimi writer, producer and director Kieran Satour joined Vanessa Morris on Banksia to talk all about documentary Revive and Resist.
Directed by Kieran, Revive and Resist is a captivating short documentary that delves into the creative journeys of 14 of the most visionary First Nations artists from around the globe. These artists crafted extraordinary works for the 24th Biennale of Sydney, Ten Thousand Suns.
The documentary highlights the artists unique approaches, cultural legacies, and the profound storytelling embedded in their work, offering an intimate look at how these trailblazers challenge, inspire, and expand contemporary art.
They also spoke about short documentaries MAHIKA KAI and The Truth About The Telegraph; project Holding Space with Apryl Day and Jirra Lulla which is described as a love letter to Cummeragunja and the Barmah Forest on Yorta Yorta Country and launching as part of YIRRAMBOI; as well as Garuwa and Bukjeh project Motherhood in the Colony which opening on 11 May.
