Award-winning Wiradjuri artist Joel Bray joined Vanessa Morris on Banksia to talk all about Brolga: A Queer Koori Wonderland on 7 October as part of Fringe Festival.

Brolga: A Queer Koori Wonderland is an Interactive art party that will transform The Substation with art, film, interactive games and performers including Dameeeela, SOVBLKPSSY, NAYCAB (Nayuka Gorrie), Kalyani, the Joel Bray Dance dancers and reigning Miss First Nations Queen Cerulean.

Joel also spoke about a performance they wrote, directed and will be performing at Malthouse Theatre from 10 - 25 May 2024 called Homo Pentecostus which is an intimate exploration of his secret queer identity within the confines of a 1990s Pentecostal Church.
