Banksia: Ellie Franks and Nick Currie on Fired Up: Stories Through Embers and Earth exhibition

Gubbi Gubbi / Kabi Kabi artist Ellie Franks and Yugambeh, Kuku Yalnji artist Nick Currie joined Vanessa Morris on Banksia to talk all about new exhibition Fired Up: Stories Through Embers and Earth at the Koorie Heritage Trust (KHT) which brings together works from nine artists.

With works grounded in relationships with history, storytelling, land and sea by using clay, Fired Up: Stories Through Embers and Earth is the exhibition outcome from the Blak Design program.

Now in its third year, the Blak Design program is presented by the KHT to foster First Peoples cultural innovation within the Victorian design sector and provide a platform for nurturing sustainable design practices.

Fired Up: Stories Through Embers and Earth and open until 11 February 2024
