For Refugee Week 2026, Live at RRR hosts a showcase of local label Music In Exile featuring performances from Iranian/Sydney artist Ashkan Shafiei and local Eritrean R&B singer Shewita. Hosted by Nana Owusu of Baseline.
Music in Exile is a Naarm based record label and registered charity supporting musicians with lived experience of migration and displacement who are living and working in the Australian music industry.
Hear a selection of live music from the label's roster, from the Iranian funk of Ashkan Shafiei playing tracks from his debut EP Hunter, to the future forward electronic pop and R&B of Shewita and her debut EP Canvas.
