Out now via Hopestreet Recordings, Owusu's release was created in collaboration with South African Australian producer Sensible J. Inspired by the Zamrock movement of the 1970s, Spiritual War is a rowdy, boisterous selection of songs about injustice, insanity and the inanity of modern life in the burning house that is late capitalism.
Growing up between the rock scene of Victoria's Surf Coast and his Ghanaian heritage, Owusu creates a unique fusion of sounds he calls Afro-psychedelic. After studying under his grandfather, legendary musician Koo Nimo, he released his debut album LO-LIFE! in 2023 - featuring his father Kojo Noah Owusu, plus members of Karate Boogaloo and Surprise Chef.
