Presents Local and/or General
Quality, new Australian (and NZ) music program focusing on local emerging artists, with interviews, live in-studio performances and regular guests.
How and when did you first connect with Triple R?
I did work experience at Triple R in 2010. I was wearing a stripey sweater and Dave Graney from Banana Lounge Broadcasting said I looked like a member of the Crayon Fields.
What does Triple R mean to you?
Triple R means community! It's an obvious answer, but it's an important one. Having local media that interrogates and celebrates the world around you is an increasingly precious thing.
What's your favourite Triple R story?
My parents presented an anti-nuclear special on Triple R sometime in the eighties where they interviewed Peter Garrett. I am not sure if it is my favourite Triple R story, but it's the one I have heard the most times.
Describe your happy place.
Walking down Sydney Road on a warm winter's day, heading to the pub to watch the Dog's game or maybe a gig.
The studio door has accidentally jammed shut with you stuck inside. If there was only one album in there with you, what would you want it to be, and why?
You can never be lonely with a copy of Darren Hanlon's Hello Stranger nearby.
