A two interview episode of Indigenuity, featuring a chat with Muruwari man, Dr Joseph West, who is the Associate Dean (Indigenous) with the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Melbourne, who discusses his recent article “Australian Universities Must Prioritise Indigenous engineers”, which explores the current flaws in student recruitment methods for getting Indigenous students involved in engineering. The second guest is playwright, poet, and novelist, Julie Janson, whose novel Madukka the River Serpent has been long-listed for the Miles Franklin Award, bringing a fresh First Nations perspective to crime fiction, and who will be appearing at Blak & Bright, the First Nations literary festival taking place in March.
