Website September announce

Wow! We have loved our Radiothon Live at RRR shows, and the good news is that there's more to come, as we conintue celebrating all things Triple R here at the station!

We've got three super events taking place at the Triple R Performance Space next month:

First, on Friday 5 September, MUDRAT brings his hip-hop hybrid to Triple R, hosted by Jas Moore of Breakfasters.

The Naarm artist will play tracks from his debut album Social Cohesion, a blend of politics and culture with raw punk ethos, electronic basslines and visceral energy. Recently featured in NME's 100 Essential Emerging Artists of 2025, catch Mudrat in the Performance Space before he heads out on his Social Cohesion Tour.

Then, on Friday 12 September, come along for a special set from Michael Beach, hosted by Tim Scott of Teenage Hate.

The California-raised, Melbourne-based musician will play songs from his fifth album Big Black Plume. The recent Triple R Album of the Week blends emotive psych with heavy rock ballads, reflecting on environmental destruction and human connection. Catch Beach in the Performance Space before an extensive Australian and US tour.

Finally, on Friday 19 September, join us for Max Crawdaddy’s 40th Anniversary broadcast!

Son Of Crawdaddy is an institution and Max is a living legend who's held down Thursday nights for decades. Max knows the blues and its roots - every pressing, every player. He cares about the music and the people who make it. And he makes the finest vegetarian chili you'll ever eat. To mark the occasion, we welcome the return of the legendary Skronkadoodledoo.

The power trio led by the late, great Chris Wilson will grace the Triple R Performance Space for a very special one-off show. Reforming with original members, Fenn Wilson & Shannon Bourne, plus George Carroll Wilson and harmonica wiz Jack Meredith.

The Skronk's guests include Sarah Carroll, Barb Waters, Kerri Simpson, plus Shane O'Mara & Ray Pereira.

Come along, and help us celebrate the kind and curious Crawdaddy, and more than forty years of service to the blues.

The Triple R Performance Space is exclusive to Triple R supporters – the perfect reason to subscribe or renew your subscription during Radiothon!
