Turning Yr Back On The Dolphin is the latest album from Palm Springs, the solo project of local musical polymath Erica Dunn (Mod Con, Tropical Fuck Storm, Harmony), out now on Poison City Records. 

Recorded to tape over three days by Michael Beach in March 2025, the record sees Dunn mine the rich history of outsider folk, delivering a collection of sparse and beguiling songs that capture a period of rumination and reflection. 

Enlisting an evolving cast of collaborators to bring her songs to life, Dunn expertly combines a stream of consciousness type of storytelling with ornate instrumental embellishments to capture fleeting moments in the studio that feel anything but throwaway.

Across the album's eight tracks, Dunn invites you into her internal world, and lays bare the existential questions that have come to define the music and life of the Palm Springs moniker.
