I recently learned of the term “liminal space”. The word “liminal” by definition, means “relating to a transitional or initial stage of a process”. There are physical liminal spaces (airports, hallways, bridges), and emotional liminal spaces (heartbreak, moving, illness). Essentially, it’s the unknown, the ‘in between’, which is where I find myself in my life right now, in more ways than one. However, I have been missing you all terribly, and I desperately want to sing the songs that we spent so much of the past few years enjoying together. New music is taking shape slowly but surely too, and I want to share some of it with you before I plunge into the process of finalising it. Most of all, I want to see your faces again. So, if you’re in Sydney and Melbourne, I am inviting you to join me in the liminal space. Just me and my instruments, just us. I really hope to see you there.
