Ghanaian-Australian rapper and songwriter Genesis Owusu heads to the Triple R Performance Space on Monday 21 August from 7pm, hot off the heels of the release of his latest album STRUGGLER! Hosted by Window Seat's Sosefina Fuamoli.

Not many people are making music like Genesis Owusu aka Kofi Owusu-Ansah. His debut LP, Smiling With No Teeth was a truly ambitious and beautifully accomplished piece of art, on which the Ghana-born, Canberra-raised emcee flexed over a boundary-pushing blend of avant-funk and no-wave punk. It cemented him as one of this country’s most singular artists. He returns this month with STRUGGLER, a feverish new journey, described as a concept album inspired by Kafka’s The Metamorphosis. A sonically adventurous sojourn for an artist never content to sit still.

First Nations people can email firstnations@rrr.org.au to RSVP to attend.

Please note: This performance will go to air during the Live at RRR slot on Friday 8 September at 7pm, for those who miss out on attending.

You can listen to the performance live via FM, digital, online and via the Triple R app.
