The Castlemaine State Festival presented by Triple R.

Award-winning opera singer and songwriter Jess Hitchcock is an Indigenous performer, composer and singer-songwriter with family origins from Saibai in the Torres Straits and Papua New Guinea. Melbourne-based Jess is breezing into the Australian folk music scene, with the sweet-sounds of her ukulele, mesmerising vocals and debut LP, Bloodline.

Weaving hints of folk, country and pop with dreamy melodies, Bloodline takes you on a journey through life’s seasons; exploring love, loss and finding one’s sense of self. Bloodline was written and recorded in Melbourne and had its only performance at the Melbourne Recital Centre before touring was cancelled in 2020. Jess and her fellow musicians Cristian Barbieri, Xani Kolac, Anita Quayle and Phoebe Elsworth are excited to be presenting Bloodline once again.

Win a double pass to Jess Hitchcock: Bloodline, 10am Friday March 26 at The Castlemaine State Festival.
