The Score: Exploring The Impacts Of Colonialism In Fiji Through Fiction

Samira is joined in the studio by Fijian author and political analyst Edward Narain and Associate Professor Tarryn Philips from La Trobe University.

Together Edward and Tarryn have published Sugar, a fictional work drawing on decades of ethnographic research and lived experience.

Set in Suva, the capital of Fiji, it unpacks heavy themes of colonialism, globalisation and indentured labour practices through the lens of a murder mystery.
